A servant enrolled his donkey in a race &won.The local paper read,"Servant's ass won." The King was upset with this kind of publicity and he ordered the servant to get rid of the donkey.

The servant gave the donkey to the Queen.The local paper read,"The Queen has the best ass in town." The King fainted after reading this.

The Queen sold the donkey to a farmer for 10$.Next day paper read,"Queen sells her ass for 10$." The King ordered the Queen to buy back the donkey and and leave t in the jungle.

The King died as soon as he read the next day's Headlines

The Headlines read,"Queen announces her ass is wild & free" ;):D

An Ode to Parents

-To my Mum and Dad who've always been there and will be there :)

Respecting our parents is common in most cultures. As the times have changed, we now question this very thought.

• They tell us to study well,not to see us getting bored while we study, but, coz they want our lives to be better than their's.
• They tell us to come home early not coz they don't like us to be free but coz its not really safe out there.
• They ring us now and again, not coz they are jobless, but, to tell us that there is someone for us all the time.
• They criticise us not coz their love for us is fading, but so that we don't have to face the same criticism from others.
• They tell us to be careful when we socialise not coz of 'Generation-gap' but so that we don't get into bad company.
• They pray more for us and less for themselves and we call them 'Old people with no work'
• They've stood behind every success and failure of ours and we call it 'No Personal Space'.

Our parents have felt more joy than us when we aced our exams and felt more sorrow than us when we failed

After a few years I realised ..."Haan yaar,Dad and Mum had told me not to do this.If only i had listened to them. :"( "

Its just that, they love us sooo much that they don't know how to express it :P

Next tym u hear ur mum or dad scolding u, know that its just a different form of love ;)

Terrorism By Pen

Nice name,ain't it?? =p .

We've heard a lot about 'terrorism' in general, sooo whats this 'Terrorism By Pen'??

Its basically the misuse of the power of News Media! Journalism is the investigation and reporting of events, issues, and trends to a broad audience. News Media has developed so much that we come to know of Argentina getting thumped by Germany in South Africa with the click of a button sitting @ home. Isn't this kool? We get the news of Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, bomb blast in some part of the world, a 62 year old lady giving birth :O so effortlessly.

Now here is the twist... Today, News Media is working for money & ratings and not to drive home the Truth :( . Because of this,the purpose of journalism is not being served. What the headlines was today, will be in the last page tomorrow, without any action being taken on that particular issue.

Max Webber, a German Sociologist, had said that, Democracy is just namesake. There can be no perfect people's government. Only an elite group will be controlling the entire country. This is so true in today's world. Only the Political Elite run the country. Today, News Media has joined this elite group. What is aired on TV & newspapers is completely in their hands. Even the politicians are entangled in this web woven by News Media. Politicians and Journalists are like'Vikram and Bethal'. There are many instances where the Politicians have bribed the Journalists to get a clean chit. With corruption creeping into this divine profession of Journalism, there is no place for truth :( . There are endless debates & discussions on hot topics like corruption, population, terrorism, but, there is no substantial action taken by anyone to better the situation. Media has great influence on the minds of people. But, this terrorism by pen, is giving the wrong shape to the public minds. People are puppets under the News Media. It's the duty of the journalists to expose the untruth and corruption does no good to this duty.

There is a saying, 'The Public memory is short'. The news media must keep the memory afresh on important things, unfortunately, this doesn't happen. Dhoni not inviting Press personnel to his wedding is the headlines in many places. Nothing against him, but is that really thaaat important???It is impossible to find a newspaper without news of murder, suicide, rape, robberyin the headlines. We can hardly find any good news. Is there only bad things happening in the world??Definitely not!

So? What is the solution to Terrorism by Pen? Hmmmm... One thing is, corruption should go away! The other, journalists have to be faithful in their duty.
